Established in 1978 by legendary editor Dan Halpern, the National Poetry Series has discovered many new and emerging voices and has been instrumental in launching the careers of poets and writers such as Billy Collins, Mark Doty, Denis Johnson, Cole Swensen, Thylias Moss, Mark Levine, and Dionisio D. Martinez.

About the Author
Thomas Dooley was born and raised in the Somerset Hills of New Jersey and lives in New York. He is the founder and artistic director of Emotive Fruition, a theatre collective of actors and poets. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from New York University and works in the field of narrative medicine.
