Tim Burrows is an author and journalist who writes about popular culture, music, art and geography - often at the same time - for a number of publications including the Daily Telegraph, New Statesman, The Quietus, The Stool Pigeon and Tank. He recently walked 40-odd miles from east London to his hometown of Southend-on-Sea, near the mouth of the Thames Estuary in Essex - an area referred to by some locals as "London's sphincter".Coco Khan is commissioning editor for The Guardian B2B and a writer. She has penned 4 successful solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival as well as performing in several comedy plays and sketches. She made her TV acting debut in the 3rd series of ITV’s “The Job Lot” alongside Jo Enright and Russell Tovey. Susan is working nationally for the majority of promoters and clubs in the UK and has gigged internationally; Quatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany, Luxembourg, Brussels, Ireland. Her versatility means that as well as corporate gigs Susan works Biker Festivals and music festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, The Big Chill, Reading, V, Download. Acting credits include starring in the TV comedy drama “Love, Lies and Lipstick” for ITV, Arthur Smith Sings Leonard Cohen (Pleasance, Edinburgh Festival and Garrick London) and Itch Scratch at The Pleasance Theatre.
Penny Pepper is an award-winning author, poet & disabled activist. A genre-defying writer, her work focuses on identity, difference and what makes us human. She writes stories we haven’t heard, making others see life differently, with provocation, humour and wisdom. She is passionate that disabled women are heard.
Groundbreaking publications include her memoir, First in The World Somewhere (Unbound) and poetry collection, Come Home Alive (Burning Eye Books). She currently writes a monthly column for independent newspaper Byline Times, has completed her first full-length novel, and writes commissions for publications and curated exhibitions, alongside her live spoken word performances.
Recent recognition includes Penny’s sombre and prize-winning video short, Letter to Paul, performed by Olivier award-winner Liz Carr and Penny was a finalist of the prestigious 2021 Hemingway Shorts (stories) competition, with her story published in the winning anthology.
She was also commissioned in March 2022 to write a set of poems for Representology - The Journal of Media and Diversity. She is currently occupied with a Top Secret Writing Project, more announcements on that soon!
Growing up on rough ghettoed council estates in the countryside around the Chiltern Hills, Penny now lives happily in Hastings with her black cat, Pixie.
